I'm Thomas, a holistic therapist, Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki practitioner, and practitioner member of the UK Reiki Federation. I came to this work largely through my own experience of seeking support during some very difficult times. That experience gave me a refined sensitivity to what it feels like to be held with care and presence.
As a client and spiritual seeker, that search is ultimately what brought me to Reiki. Through meditation, introspection, and guidance from seasoned practitioners, I encountered the healing and nervous-system regulation that's possible when someone is truly met with the approach they need. These experiences continue to shape the sacred space I hold for every client.
My path to Reiki began, as these things often do, at a low point.
In my teens and early twenties, I lived through periods of anxiety and depression that ultimately led me to a profound spiritual awakening in 2012.
In August of that same year, I travelled to India for the first time. I returned twice more, in 2015 and 2016, spending the most time in Rishikesh and Varanasi, with visits to Dharamsala and other sacred sites. During these travels my understanding of energy, healing, and the nature of consciousness deepened.
In 2018, I began my formal Reiki training, being initiated into the First Degree of Usui Shiki Ryoho, the Usui System of Natural Healing, by Julie Hayes of juliehayesholisticwellness.co.uk, a highly experienced holistic teacher and member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists, whose lineage traces directly back to Mikao Usui. I spent the next eight years practising in earnest, first with friends and family and later with people who came to me through word of mouth, before being initiated into the Second Degree in 2026. Those years of hands-on experience and personal development are what I bring to the treatment room today, where I now work with clients in person in Buxton and at a distance across the UK and worldwide. This work has changed me as much as it has anyone I've worked with, and I continue to evolve as a person and as a practitioner, ensuring my practice remains both authentic and responsive to you.
Outside the treatment room, I also dedicate time to volunteering as a Befriender to members of my local elderly community, who might otherwise go without meaningful human connection. The empathy and patience that work requires is something I bring, without reservation, to everyone I work with.
Alongside Reiki, I also offer bespoke and luxury facials, and combination treatments pairing a facial with Reiki in a single session. You can see the full range of treatments here.
Give yourself the gift of Reiki by working with me.
If any of this resonates, I would love to hear from you.
